Classes

I teach regular classes at the pottery in Alston. Send me a message via the contact page if you'd like more information, the current term timetable and available slots.

General Class Info 

I teach small group classes with a maximum of 4 people, for two hours at a time. I have two electric wheels so you can spend at least an hour throwing if that's what you'd like to do. We will cover a wide range of techniques and approaches to clay. Total beginners are very welcome. If you know your way about clay you are welcome to use these sessions as studio access time, use any materials you like and get advice as you need it.

Classes are priced on a sliding scale from £15-£25 per session depending on your circumstances. 

Materials and firing are included - if you produced a significant volume of work we can discuss additional firing costs. 

Please contact me before coming to class, pre booking is needed so I know who is coming when and can prepare for you.

 Individual lessons

An hour long throwing lesson where we will learn to wedge, centre and make a cylinder. You can also use this option if you want to improve your throwing techinue or troubleshoot certain things with me. 1:1 costs £25 an hour.
